The Downtown Gift Card will work just like a credit card at participating merchants.
There is a $2 activation fee per card when you purchase the card. If ordering more than 10 cards, the activation fee is waived.

Unless prohibited by law, a $2.50 fee will be deducted monthly from Card balance starting 1st day after 1 year of inactivity. Activity means any action resulting in a change in Card balance, other than fee imposition, or adjustment due to error or prior transaction reversal. $5 fee to replace lost, stolen or damaged Card, except as prohibited by law. Not redeemable for cash or credit, except as stated in Card Agreement. Additional terms are stated in Card Agreement. Purchase, acceptance or use of Card constitutes acceptance of Card Agreement. In person we accept all of the above mentioned cards as well as cash, no personal checks - corporate checks only.

The cards can be purchased in any denomination with a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $500. All purchases to be shipped by us must be made by credit or debit card. We reserve the right to decline the purchase of any card. The card is subject to terms and restrictions stated on the card back and in an accompanying Card Agreement. You must read and accept these terms and restrictions before purchasing a card.

No, there is no limit to the number of cards you can order. If you would like to make a large corporate order, please contact Brian Waller at 515-419-3094.

Yes, gift cards can be purchased at giftcard.desmoinesdowntownchamber.com. State legislation restricts our ability to distribute cards in the state in New York, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont. We will not sell cards to purchasers located New York unless both the shopping center and the purchaser are in the same state. We will not ship cards to recipients located in New York unless both the shopping center and the purchaser are in the same state. All purchases to be shipped by us must be made by credit or debit card.

You may call the Des Moines Downtown Chamber office to see if your card can be reactivated. If you have your card number, a new card can be issued for a fee of $5.

StoreFinancial is an international payment systems processor based in Overland Park, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri) that offers the most comprehensive turn-key shopping center gift card program in the world.

The value of the gift card will be written on the back of the gift card and may be listed with the materials that came with the gift card at the time of purchase.  Other options include calling the number on the back of the gift card, check www.getmybalance.com, or visit the Customer Service Desk or Management Administration Office during normal business hours.

No, the gift card is not re-loadable.  However, credits can be applied.
